Recruitment Process

Our principles in the recruitment process; to reach the right target group that is suitable for our corporate needs and culture, to make competency-based measurements based on objective evaluation criteria, to provide candidates with an equal opportunity without being impartial and under influence.

Interview organizations are held with candidates who are considered to be suitable for our company's criteria and the requirements of the vacant position among the applications. The first interviews are conducted by the Human Resources Department to evaluate the basic competencies that all employees of our company must possess, without exception, and functional competencies that vary on the basis of task. At the end of this interview, candidates who are deemed suitable are given some (Quantitative and Verbal) tests related to their duties, and second interviews are organized where more technical details will be evaluated according to the result. Second interviews are held with the manager of the unit where the vacant position is located.

After all the interviews, the candidates who are considered to have the most suitable profile for the vacant position are offered by the Human Resources Unit.

Training

In line with the learning organization approach and with the principle of continuous improvement, training investments are made for all of our employees for their professional and personal development.

It is aimed to reflect the subjects covered in the trainings to the behaviors and to have a permanent effect.

All of our employees can receive training on the development points they have agreed with their managers during performance interviews and on subjects that will provide personal development.

Pricing and Rewarding

Pricing and Rewarding

At Garanti BBVA Asset Management, the remuneration system is carried out using a job valuation methodology, based on objective criteria, in which tasks performed are evaluated independently of individuals and/or their performance, resulting in both maintaining internal wage balances and maintaining the competitive position of wage levels with market data. Wages are paid over 12 gross salaries and are increased twice a year in July and January. While determining the wage increase rate, the analysis of wage information of other financial companies selected for wage research is also utilized.

Results related to individual and team performance are reflected in Success Bonuses (EVA), which are calculated based on the achievements of the portfolios being managed and the data obtained through the Performance Management meetings held once a year. In addition to the "benchmark" targets for the managed portfolios, both individual and team targets are determined for all employees in order to achieve other targets created in line with the annual business plan. The Performance Management process, which is carried out by reaching concrete/measurable targets and evaluating competencies, is also utilized in terms of basic HR practices such as career development and training needs analysis.

The effect of individual performance on team performance and ultimately the overall performance of the organization is taken into account, and our human resources policies, which bring all efforts together with the main goal of the company, form the basis of HR practices.
